Hanglo is a Kenyan digital service with two parts: The Vault, where people share anonymous real-life stories and get advice, and the Hanglo app, where people find others nearby to meet up in person.

Everything below is a digital service, delivered instantly on this website. Prices are in Kenyan Shillings (KES) and paid by M-Pesa through Paystack.

1. The Vault — anonymous stories

Share a story

Free

Anyone can post their story anonymously, with no account. It goes live straight away and readers can vote and give advice.

Priority

KES 300

For the person sharing the story. Our team reviews it and features it within 72 hours, and it can include voice notes and screenshots that we edit and redact first.

VIP

KES 500

Everything in Priority, plus private written advice from our team, sent to the WhatsApp number or email the person gives us.

Unlock a story's extras

KES 30 or 50

For readers. The story itself is always free to read. This opens the extras on that one story — voice notes, screenshots, the full ending and our breakdown. KES 30 on a Priority story, KES 50 on a VIP story. It also lets you comment or leave a voice note without an account.

2. Hanglo app — coins

Coins are the credit used inside the meetup app. One coin costs KES 10.

Coins are spent on:

Broadcasting that you're free to meet, so the app can match you with people nearby (39–59 coins depending on the match quality you choose)
Opening a chat with a match (25 coins)
Locking meetup funds, which are returned after both people confirm they met, minus a 20% service fee
Unlocking a direct message or contact details of a creator (5–50 coins, set by that person)
Posting photo bundles (2–3 coins)

Payment, delivery and refunds

How you pay:M-Pesa, through Paystack. You get a prompt on your phone and approve it there. The charge appears as “Hanglo”.

Delivery: instant and digital. Unlocked content opens immediately; coins appear in your wallet immediately. Priority stories are reviewed and featured within 72 hours, and VIP advice is sent to the contact you give us.

Refunds: story unlocks (KES 30 / 50) are final once the content has been opened. Priority (KES 300) and VIP (KES 500) are refunded in full if we do not feature your story or send your advice within 7 days. Unused coins can be refunded on request within 7 days of purchase. To ask for a refund, email us with your M-Pesa confirmation code.
